What Is the Chevrolet Equinox Service Schedule?

How often should you bring your Equinox in to be serviced? While it depends somewhat on how you drive—and you should always check your owner’s manual—we’ve outlined the basics below. You can always call our service center at (805) 457-4938 as well.

Every 7,500 Miles

Your Chevy Equinox maintenance schedule begins with tire rotation and other required services every 7,500 miles on Paso Robles streets. If you’re wondering about your Chevy Equinox oil change frequency, every 7,500 miles, we’ll check your oil and oil life percentage, as well as:

  • Tire rotation
  • Multi-point vehicle inspection
  • Check oil and oil life percentage
  • Inspect and replace the engine air filter if needed

Every 22,500 Miles

Every 22,500 miles or 24 months, whichever comes first, your Equinox passenger compartment air filter should be replaced. If you regularly drive in heavy Arroyo Grande traffic or areas with poor air quality, consider replacing it sooner.

Every 45,000 Miles

Don’t miss this service interval! Every 45,000 miles, you’ll need to perform an Equinox transmission fluid change:

  • Change the automatic transmission fluid if your Equinox has an 8-speed automatic transmission
  • Change the automatic transmission fluid and filter if your Equinox has a CVT

Every 60,000 Miles

Replace the spark plugs, and inspect their wires and boots.

Every 5 Years

Replace the brake fluid.

Every 75,000 Miles

If your Equinox is an AWD model, change its rear axle fluid every 75,000 miles.

Every 6 Years

You should drain and fill the engine cooling system every six years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Every 7 Years

The air conditioning desiccant in your Equinox needs to be replaced every seven years. While you’re in, we’ll service the whole A/C system, helping you keep cool during hot Atascadero summers.

Every 100,000 Miles

Replace the hood and body lift support gas struts on your Equinox every 100,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first.
